Kayla Abrams joined Sanctuary for Families in February 2022 as the Project Assistant for the IGVSI. Previously, she worked as a paralegal at A Better Childhood, doing child welfare class action lawsuits. In 2020, Kayla was a legal intern at Sanctuary for Families in the Courtroom Advocates Project (CAP) and the Campus Advocates Project (CAP2). In addition, she has interned at the Brennan Center for Justice’s Justice Program, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, and The Children’s Law Center. She graduated from Columbia University in 2021 with honors in Modern American History and Psychology.
